Aimee Fairman is a midwife and photographer. She studided photography at George Mason University from 1991-1992 and at Virginia Commonwealth University from 1992-1996. In September of 1996, she gave birth to her first child. The transformational experience of pregnancy and natural childbirth had a profound impact on her. She put down her camera and began the arduous path to becoming a homebirth midwife while raising a family. In 2009, her dream was realized and she became a Certified Professional Midwife. Her three beloved children are no longer babes and life has made room for her to return to her first love, film photography. She is excited to be able to work on projects at the intersection of her two passions. You may read more about Aimee's midwifery practice on the Ten Moons Midwifery site.
